The grade 7 and 8 French Course focuses on Communication and Culture. Students will learn authentic communication skills based on their interests and experiences. A balanced literacy approach is used beginning with oral communication skills that will allow students to develop good reading and writing skills. The Grade 7 and 8 students participate annually in a full day spiritual retreat. The theme in Grade 7 is Leadership. Students take the time to evaluate their own gifts and talents, and look at how they can be better role models and leaders. The theme in Grade 8 is Farewell. Students have the opportunity to pause and reflect on what they have learned and valued at CTK. They are left with the question “What do I take with me?”
