Human Ecology and Industrial Arts and Technology

Christ the KingSchool shares services with the Louis Riel School Division for these services. For the last few years these classes have taken place at DarwinSchool and Glenlawn Collegiate in St. Vital. Students attend both of these schools on a rotating basis. Reporting periods for these course are at a different time than the CTK report card, so a separate report is sent mid year.

There are some days when CTK is having an in-service that students are required to attend these classes even though there are no classes at CTK.  Students have to find their own transportation on these days. Also, there may be days there is no school at Glenlawn or Darwin, on these days, students have an afternoon off and are allowed to go home.

Students attending Glenlawn walk from CTK after lunch and return at 3:25 to catch the bus for home. Students attending Darwin are usually transported by school bus.  However, when the wind-chill reaches -35  at 6:30 in the morning, the school bus doesn’t run all day and students have to find their own transportation to and from Darwin.
